Abstract

What is the place of the OPAC in the library of the future? This presentation will examine the role of the OPAC in an era of electronic database proliferation. We will explore the evolution of the OPAC including enhanced services like RSS, content enrichment, end-user tagging, and reader advisory services, and discuss some of the alternative models that are emerging including faceted and single search technologies
