Abstract

Developed with the goals of familiarizing international students with a Canadian research library and reducing library anxiety, the presentation focused on four areas that frequently cause stress in users, as identified by Constance Mellon in her 1986 study on Library Anxiety: 1. the size of the library 2. a lack of knowledge about where things are located 3. how to begin and 4. what to do.
