Abstract
This report includes an annotated guide to readings in Instructional Development, a section discussing the background to the guide and a section discussing the preparation of the guide. The latter two sections include explanations of the terminology, the process of instructional development, the scope of the guide and the rationale for the guide. -- The guide itself is presented as an appendix in three-sections. The first section of the guide is a list of books pertaining to instructional development. The second section is composed of a list of periodical articles and articles from books concerning the subject. Documents and reports in the field of instructional development constitute the third section. Full, bibliographical data and a short description of the contents of each item is given in the guide. Items of special interest to beginners in the field are indicated with an asterisk. -- It should be noted that this is a guide to printed materials only. Materials on microfiche have been included in the final section only because they were more readily available at the time than the original documents.
