Abstract

Dr. Wendy Robbins talks about the growing slip (gap) between men and women in terms of gender equity—pay and representation. She provides recommendations for people who wish to make sense (statistically) of gender discrimination in today’s universities and elsewhere. Dr. Croll and Dr. Pike provide a formal introduction, speaking about the significance of Robbins’ talk in light of Dec. 6: the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Dr. Sonya Corbin-Dwyer speaks about the importance of childcare at universities and failed attempts to provide childcare at Grenfell Campus.
