Abstract
Memorial University Libraries were among the first adopters of OCLC’s new Worldcat Selection interface. As a medium-sized academic library with three major vendors (Coutts, Blackwell, YBP) and a handful of smaller ones (Touzot, Casalini, Harrassowitz), we were desperately seeking workflow simplification while wishing to maintain a high degree of flexibility. After two years of 9xx/EDI implementation and process re-engineering, we have finally arrived - or so we hope! Join us as we discuss the impetus behind the project, the implementation of OCLC Selection with 9xx/EDI, and the configuration and perfection of slip distribution across multiple vendors. We’ll also give you a tour of the OCLC Worldcat Selection interface, and share the reactions of Memorial librarians and staff.
