Abstract
The most significant challenge for schools in the 21st century is to keep parents and students connected with the learning community. An overwhelming amount of research agrees that parental involvement is essential for enhancing achievement in schools. The research also agrees that parents are not able to be involved in their children's education due to the stresses of single parenthood and two career families. The development of online technologies to enhance the communication between home and school has become a viable option. This internship report provides a literature review on the topic of online technologies and it chronicles the implementation of this type of technology.
