Abstract
The Ferriss Hodgett Library began circulating eBook readers on the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2010, as part of a pilot project examining whether eReaders improve user access to and satisfaction with eTexts; which type of eReader works best for academic library users; and how compatible they are with the library's existing eText collections. Users who borrowed eReaders participated in an online survey about their experience. Topics covered include challenges and considerations academic libraries should be aware of before implementing a similar initiative, and what users really think about eBook readers.
