Abstract
The “Living Newspaper” is a form of agitprop theatre that arose in Bolshevik Russia, that urged social change through non-realistic and non-natural theatrical techniques. This live performance was created through direct interviews with community members and collective creation techniques, and examines issues surrounding the potential closure of the pulp and paper mill in Corner Brook. It includes multimedia, music, song, and dramatic dialogue, and is a collaboration between theatre faculty members, the community theatre, and students.
