Abstract

The fourth-year show is a highlight of my year. This is a recognition and celebration of your work as an undergraduate student in the visual arts program and, is it is your fourth-year show, a milestone in your progression as an artist. The catalogue that you're holding marks this occasion and serves as a permanent reminder of your accomplishments as of this moment in time. In the years to come I hope you can, perhaps with this catalogue in hand, remember your time here as exciting, challenging and rewarding. It is my sincere hope that the challenges ahead are as equally satisfying and that your time here has helped prepare you for whatever is next. For now though, as you celebrate the opening with your classmates, friends and family, I simply want to say congratulations.
