Abstract

Representatives of Western Health, Memorial University-Grenfell Campus, and Western Regional School of Nursing will share the outcomes of their work that facilitated the establishment of a meaningful research partnership. This team supported the overall evaluation of the Protective Community Residences-an innovative model of support for individuals with mild to moderate dementia. The presentation will focus on the process of engaging partners in the research opportunity. The research outcomes that were produced disseminated and provided evidence for future decision making will be shared. Finally, an overview will be provided on the lessons learned and benefits of using a collaborative approach for this type of research partnership.
